My name is Mianna Celani. I was born on October 15th, making me a Libra (sun, 1st house), which I think is why I felt called to pursue a career in fashion — if you believe in that stuff.

I’m an animal lover, and my best friend is my dog, Presley, who has been a part of my life since I was 17 years old. I graduated from the Seattle Central College Apparel Design program with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Spring 2026. During my time there, my instructors continually warned me that my design ideas might take too much time and too much work to complete on schedule. Despite this, I sacrificed much of my sleep and almost all of my free time trying to prove them wrong.

I didn’t always get the outcomes I hoped for, and my ambition often trumped my abilities. However, I also created things I’m incredibly proud of, accomplished things I didn’t think I could do, and surprised myself with my resilience. While I experienced both success and failure as a student, the successes pushed me to keep doing hard things, and the failures taught me how to grow in ways my instructors couldn’t.

My design philosophy, first and foremost, is rooted in self-discipline and a love for the game. I’m always searching for what’s next. My designs are influenced by historical references, media, film, and art, as well as the designers who continue to inspire me, like Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto, and Jean Paul Gaultier, to name a few.

I love sharing my art with the world, and I hope to one day design clothing for global distribution. I’m extremely ambitious and have a strong belief in the work I put into the world. Fashion is not only my job — it’s incorporated into my daily life and immersed in all of my hobbies.
